My paintings become miniature portals through which you can explore other places and new worlds in wonder.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAs an artist painting landscapes in a modern encaustic method, I love to draw the viewer into magical lands and spark their imagination with a sense of awe. Many of my wax paintings are quite a small size as it is the format | am most drawn to with this medium. There is something immediately \u003cem\u003echarming\u003c\/em\u003e about work on this scale, and a feeling of wonder that you are \u003cem\u003eholding a portal to another world in your hands\u003c\/em\u003e. Where possible, I try to use \u003cem\u003enaturally-derived materials\u003c\/em\u003e in my work, with my primary medium being beeswax, pigments and damar resin painted onto sealed paper.
